Our Story

Like all great love stories, ours began with the man making the first move.

Manya was vehemently slicing backhands on a tennis court in London when out of nowhere came a cheeky message from Siddhant — hoping for a tennis lesson, and maybe something more.

He was a ‘tri-athlete’, basically a human Swiss Army knife who swam, biked, and ran, but had never quite mastered the art of swinging a racquet.
From there, things escalated — “friendly" lessons that blurred the line between trash talk and flirtation. Despite repeatedly losing on the court, refusing to learn the technique, and critiquing his own coach, he won her over with his humour, heart, and relentless charm. He survived her friend’s interrogations, her sick-day cancellations (showing up with soup, not sulks), and escape rooms.

Being the Bollywood buff that he is, he re-introduced her to that world (think the likes of Govinda), allowing this ‘coconut’ to reconnect with her roots. Their early conversations were a comedy of languages—Sid would talk in Hindi, Manya would reply in English, and somehow, it just worked. Most humbling of all, Sid watched Manya catch more fish in Montenegro than he did—despite his “lifetime” of fishing experience.

Sid bravely endured Manya’s elaborate, sometimes questionable culinary experiments while Manya, in exchange, tried to get into running, and attempted to count her macros while sticking to gym bro food (think chicken breasts and spinach).

Then, in December 2024, Siddhant asked the most important question—not “Do you want to work on your serve?” but “Will you marry me?” Manya said yes to her worst tennis student, her greatest rival-turned teammate, and her loudest cheerleader — a man she respects, loves, and cannot wait to spend the rest of her life with.

We can't wait to celebrate our love with you as we serve up the next set in our love story.
